Leading up to NAIDOC week our Centres were lucky enough to secure an incursion with “Walking Together with Kuarna”.

Liesl and Drew tailored their incursion to suit the ages and size of each group, displaying different animal skins and furs, talking about relationship to country,  and also teaching the children about animal tracks and traditional tools, foods and practices. The children remained engaged throughout their sessions, especially enjoying the interactive aspects.

This was a fabulous, easy going way of teaching the children about this wonderful culture, especially when presented to children from such a young age.
